Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver to join our team at Schneider. As an Intermodal Truck Driver, you will be responsible for hauling freight containers secured to company-owned chassis. This is a unique opportunity to drive in and out of railyards within IA, IL, IN, and MI, with 90% no-touch freight that is 50% drop-and-hook.
Pay and Bonus Potential
As an Intermodal Truck Driver, you will enjoy mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving. You will also be eligible for a longevity bonus, earning 3% of annual gross pay each year. Additionally, you will receive paid orientation, paid time off after 6 months, and 6 days of holiday pay per year.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a minimum of 6 months of Class A driving experience. Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred. You must also live within 40 miles of Chicago, IL.
