Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in the accounting and reporting functions for some of the most engaging accounting areas within CF. This position is essential for determining the appropriate accounting treatment for significant and unusual transactions. The role offers the opportunity to engage in problem-solving, propose solutions, and facilitate process improvements as CF evolves into the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert for a specialized technical accounting area within the financial reporting team, focusing on aspects such as stock compensation, earnings per share (EPS), leases, asset retirement obligations, revenue recognition, pensions, and post-retirement benefits. This includes preparing relevant journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures for 10Q and 10K filings. Participate in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for external reporting in accordance with SEC and FASB requirements.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise in the assessment and evaluation of extraordinary business transactions or updates to SEC rules and accounting standards to ensure proper accounting and external reporting treatment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA certification or active CPA candidate preferred. Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in the private sector, with a focus on technical accounting and/or financial reporting. Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with FASB and SEC regulations, along with the ability to apply financial and business concepts effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Workiva and SAP is a plus.
