As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a motorized forklift to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive the truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
  • Plans supply and material requirements by studying production schedules and scheduling deliveries to the production area.
  • Retrieves supplies and materials by studying specifications, locating and verifying supplies and materials, securing pallets on the truck, and moving pallets to the production location.
  • Maintains inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage, monitoring inventory, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Clears the production area by securing and moving finished pallets and moving empty pallets.
  • Documents actions by logging movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic, following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps the forklift operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Minimum Professional Proficiency in a foreign language.
