Job Title: Podiatrist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to join our team at Comprehensive Community Health Centers Inc. as a key member of our medical staff.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with foot and ankle conditions, including diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, prescribing orthotics and pain relief medication, and advising patients on proper foot care and therapeutic techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality medical care.
  • Examine patients' legs, ankles, and feet to diagnose diseases, illnesses, or injuries.
  • Treat sport-related leg or foot injuries.
  • Prescribe orthotics and pain relief medication.
  • Advise patients on proper foot care and therapeutic techniques.
  • Stabilize and refer patients presenting to the office in need of urgent care.
  • Examine and treat patients assigned to another provider or assist in triaging and rescheduling.
  • Complete patient charts according to medical practice standards and requirements.
  • Assist in obtaining lab specimens from patients.
  • Complete administrative projects as assigned by the CMO.
  • Maintain medical licensure, board certification, and admitting privileges at the hospital.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to medical office policy and procedure manuals.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities and assist with audits.
  • Advise administration of any issues impacting the practice.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in podiatric medicine.
  • Practice experience in a hospital or clinic.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern surgical and therapeutic treatments.
  • Board certification or board eligible in specialty.
  • Unrestricted license to practice within California.
  • Valid DEA.
  • PALS or NRP, ACLS may be required.
