Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOAP-based web services
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs with various applications
- Manage the entire API lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and security
- Implement API security protocols, including OAuth, OpenID, and API key management
- Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for API-related issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze API requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with IBM EAI tools like IBM API Connect and IBM MQ
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience with IBM API Connect or similar API management tools
- Strong experience in API design, development, and deployment
- Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, and web services
- Experience with API security standards (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Certification in IBM API Connect is a plus
