Lifeguard - The Georgia Club

We are seeking a highly skilled Lifeguard to join our team at The Georgia Club. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests while enjoying our aquatic facilities.

• **Pool Maintenance**: Vacuum the pool bottom, empty the automatic skimmer, and skim bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use.
• **Swimmer Supervision**: Supervise swimmers at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
• **First Aid**: Tend to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
• **Facility Maintenance**: Maintain the cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
• **Program Development**: Assist in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager or Instructors.
• **Enforcement**: Enforce rules of conduct and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• **Inventory Management**: Check first aid inventory and report shortages.
• **Pool Games**: Organize and monitor pool games at all times, suggesting pool-side games as needed.
• **Equipment Maintenance**: Set up and return pool equipment to storage at the beginning and end of each day.
• **Record Keeping**: Maintain all necessary records determined by the Swimming Pool Manager.
• **Meetings**: Attend all meetings as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager.

• **Certifications**: First Aid and CPR certification.
• **Knowledge**: Knowledge of optimal swimming pool water chemistry, temperature, and cleanliness standards.
• **Physical Demands**: Skilled swimmer with the ability to walk and stand for long periods, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
• **Work Environment**: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise levels.
