Job Description

At Great Wolf Lodge, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the day-to-day engineering operations in our lodge. This role involves project management, general life safety, ordering, and working with vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and timely manner, adhering to safety standards and effective equipment utilization.
  • Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures and attend safety-training programs as required.
  • Keep accurate service records on mechanical and structural systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Trade-related certifications, such as HVAC and electrical.
  • Experience in hospitality, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier lifting with assistance.
  • Computer skills, including database software, internet software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license.
