Position Purpose: The primary objective of this role is to assist in all dietary operations as directed, adhering to established dietary policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver meals that are visually appealing and palatable.
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control standards.
- Prepare food in compliance with sanitary regulations and company policies.
- Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning tasks.
- Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas as instructed.
- Distribute and collect menus as required.
- Procure food supplies for upcoming meals.
- Verify diet trays for accuracy prior to distribution.
- Ensure appropriate equipment and utensils accompany each meal tray.
- Deliver food carts and trays to designated locations.
- Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
- Maintain food storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
- Assist in food preparation for special events and gatherings.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Capable of interacting tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Comfortable working with individuals who may be ill, disabled, or emotionally distressed.
- Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English for effective communication.
Education and Experience: No specific educational requirements.
Licensing/Certifications: None required.
