Job Title:

Physician - Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine

Job Summary:

We are seeking a board-certified/eligible Geriatrician to join our Division of General Internal Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in outpatient, inpatient consultation, and skilled nursing facility settings. Ideal candidates will excel in clinical care as well as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide licensed medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, case management, and clinical research
  • Direct and provide direct and indirect patient care services in an outpatient setting and/or inpatient setting
  • Conduct ambulatory clinics, interview patients, obtain and review medical history, perform physical examinations, and order procedures and diagnostic testing
  • Determine, prescribe, and implement treatment plans and/or medications required, document all services and instructions provided in medical records, and educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection
  • Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities, serve as a preceptor and provide training of residents, fellows, and medical students, and ensure continuing medical education requirements are met
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required
  • State of Ohio and DEA licensure required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a Geriatrics Fellowship from an ACGME accredited program
