Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advocate Christ Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting essential radiographic procedures on specific anatomical areas to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. You will determine appropriate radiographic technique and position patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality. You will also operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality.
  • Operation of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.
  • Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality.
  • Delivery of patient care and in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement.
  • Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards.
  • Development of leadership skills and professionalism for self through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • Current RT License in the State of Illinois by IDNS/IEMA.
  • Current ARRT Registry/eligible.
  • Basic Life support (BLS) required.
  • New Grads welcome to apply.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as film processing chemicals.
  • Willingness to attend out-of-town site visits for equipment assessments.
