Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to design and assess course evaluations
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance
  • Assist in strategic planning and evaluation of instructional programs to uphold quality standards
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new faculty, emphasizing theoretical and practical applications
  • Apply teaching methodologies tailored to adult learners
  • Continuously seek to improve instructional quality
  • Incorporate online resources to enhance course materials and interactive learning experiences
  • Manage student records, program data, and compliance documentation
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and safety protocols
  • Engage in committee work that supports the nursing program's objectives
  • Oversee and assess student clinical experiences in healthcare settings
  • Provide timely feedback on student performance and maintain related documentation
  • Ensure clinical placements align with both student and facility standards
  • Observe, instruct, and evaluate students using effective teaching strategies
  • Ensure clinical sites comply with health and safety regulations for student involvement
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with students through various platforms
  • Participate in student advising initiatives
Requirements
  • Previous teaching experience is not required; Faculty Development training will be provided
  • Possess an active license from the State Board of Registered Nursing
  • Hold a Master's degree in Nursing or higher, with relevant coursework from an accredited institution
  • Have a minimum of four years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse
  • Recent clinical experience is essential; clinical teaching is considered direct patient care
  • Specialization in one of the following nursing fields: Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health
