Job Summary

Luna Del Valle Hospice is seeking a licensed Spiritual Chaplain to provide compassionate and holistic end-of-life care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to patients and families to help them find peace and comfort during their end-of-life journey.
  • Conduct spiritual assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that address the spiritual needs of patients.
  • Offer pastoral care, prayer, and rituals in alignment with patients' beliefs and traditions.
  • Facilitate discussions on end-of-life wishes, meaning-making, and legacy work.
  • Provide support and education to staff and volunteers on spiritual care practices and cultural competence.
Qualifications
  • Ordination or endorsement by a recognized spiritual or religious organization.
  • Experience as a Spiritual Chaplain in end-of-life care or hospice settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
