Radiology Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Lincolnwood, Illinois.

• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images for radiographic interpretation, utilizing established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain and provide quality images to physicians and radiologists.
• Secure patient history and record it on the appropriate form for radiologist review.
• Maintain integrity of supplies and equipment in the department, performing daily quality control and ensuring preventative maintenance of all radiographic equipment.
• Provide and practice radiation protection and safety in accordance with IEMA standards.
• Check image quality to ensure optimal quality and correct image labeling is visible to the radiologist.

• Provide quality patient care and support the operational needs of the clinic.
• Accurately obtain and document patient history, intake information, and vital signs as needed.
• Perform venipuncture, laboratory functions, and occupational health responsibilities as required.
• Coordinate patient flow into and out of the department, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

• Graduate of an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
• 0-1 year experience as a general radiographer.
• Knowledge of HIS system and basic knowledge of RIS system.
• IDNS accreditation in medical radiation technology and AART certification or eligibility.

• Must be able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high-quality patient care.
• Must be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities.
• Must be willing to rotate to other off-site locations and work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
