Position Summary:

The Lead Pharmacist is accountable for overseeing, guiding, and managing the performance of Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, while ensuring high levels of team engagement. This role is pivotal in fostering the professional development of the pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the responsibilities of Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Supervise pharmacy personnel, including Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, pharmacy technicians, interns, and pharmacists, ensuring adherence to all legal and operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the relevant states (or willingness to obtain within one year).
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • A minimum of one year of pharmacy experience in a retail environment, including prescription processing and compliance.
  • Proficient in prescription dispensing and knowledgeable about applicable state and federal controlled substance regulations.
  • Internal candidates must have achieved satisfactory performance ratings and have no disciplinary actions in the past year.
