Insight Global is seeking dedicated Security Officers to enhance our esteemed team. The Healthcare Safety Officer position requires executing security responsibilities with professionalism and a positive demeanor, engaging with patients, staff, and administrative personnel.

This role involves responding to a variety of calls, providing assistance in both urgent and routine scenarios. The officer is responsible for investigating and documenting safety risks, incidents, and unlawful activities, both digitally and in written form. They will patrol designated areas to ensure the safety of the public, patients, staff, and property.

Accountability to the department's hierarchy is essential, reflecting initiative, judgment, and overall proficiency in executing tasks, responding to service requests, and managing daily responsibilities.

A commitment to exceptional customer service and fostering respectful relationships with all individuals is crucial. Successful completion of physiological and physical fitness evaluations is a requirement for this position.

As a proactive Healthcare Safety Officer, you will be assigned specific zones where you will perform vital tasks to uphold safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Patrolling and Surveillance:

  • Conducting regular patrols in assigned areas to maintain a visible security presence.
  • Executing security-related tasks, including door checks and activity monitoring.
  • Investigating any suspicious behavior or individuals.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Reporting hazards, unusual situations, or suspicious activities to the Security Operations Center.
  • Keeping supervisors updated on significant occurrences or events.
  • Responding promptly to varying levels of vulnerability, including life-threatening situations and natural disasters.

Emergency Response:

  • Acknowledging and managing emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls appropriately.
  • Assessing alarm causes safely and providing assistance or guidance as necessary.
  • Administering initial first aid in accordance with your training level.

Fire Safety and Prevention:

  • Responding to fire alarms during drills and actual incidents.
  • Conducting fire prevention assessments and responding to fire emergencies.
  • Maintaining effective communication with supervisors and fellow officers.

Conflict Resolution and Physical Management:

  • De-escalating conflicts between individuals using verbal techniques.
  • Managing combative or violent individuals when necessary (following annual aggression management training).

Enforcement and Assistance:

  • Enforcing hospital policies and regulations within your designated area.
  • Assisting visitors with directions and information.
  • Safely escorting individuals or property to their desired locations.

Investigation and Documentation:

  • Interviewing and investigating individuals involved in suspicious or illegal activities.
  • Documenting safety hazards, incidents, and unlawful activities.
  • Reporting findings to Security Administration and law enforcement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participating in approved activities beyond security operations (e.g., transport duties, equipment checks).
  • Detaining unauthorized individuals as defined by policy or state law.
Conducting annual security assessments for healthcare facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of security experience

Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage challenging patients and de-escalate situations are essential.

  • Familiarity with Access Control and CCTV systems.
Understanding of Emergency Management principles.
