Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at St. Mary's Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable.
  • Screen patients for contraindications to MRI, such as the presence of metal implants or pacemakers.
  • Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images of the body, position patients correctly on the scanning table, and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce clear and accurate images.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and yourself from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fields.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain the desired images.
  • Administer contrast agents intravenously to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or abnormalities during the scan.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
Requirements
  • ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certification required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and remain current.
  • Must be a graduate of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
