Industrial Machinery Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the Training, Rehabilitation & Development Institute in Lexington, KY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on highly automated equipment to maintain equipment performance and achieve production line targets.
  • Repair and maintain primary and secondary production machining processes and general maintenance.
  • Inspect and test HAAS, Okuma, and Mazak CNC machines to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair different types of equipment in a fast-paced multi-skilled automated manufacturing environment.
  • Moving existing and installing new equipment.
  • Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
  • Run diagnostic tests on CNC machinery to ensure system functionality.
  • Perform emergency repairs, align, and calibrate machinery and parts.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information trends.
  • Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Ensure safety considerations are given top priority while planning and performing duties.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of 3-axis and 5-axis, CNC Lathe, CNC Water Jets, and CNC Lasers.
  • Graduation from a 2-year vocational training program in industrial maintenance or formal apprenticeship training program or 3-5 years of experience in industrial/commercial maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and deep understanding of mechanics, hydraulic, pneumatics, and electrical.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
