The Opportunity

Dermatology is a rapidly growing therapeutic area in veterinary medicine. As our in-house dermatology R&D expert, you will contribute to shaping Dechra's pipeline of innovation in this therapeutic space.

Role Responsibility
  • Develop and establish pre-clinical dermatology drug candidate screening processes
  • Support global clinical drug development project teams
  • Collaborate with third parties to develop in-vitro assays and in-vivo disease models
  • Establish pre-clinical and clinical development strategy for dermatology projects
  • Develop study protocols and interpret study data
The Ideal Candidate
  • Graduate veterinarian (D.V.M., B.V.Med., or equivalent)
  • Experience in clinical research and companion animal veterinary dermatology
  • Relevant advanced qualification (MSc, PhD, board certified DipACVD, DipECVD or equivalent)
  • Excellent knowledge of the therapeutic landscape and latest trends in veterinary/human dermatology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a multicultural/international environment
  • Self-driven, motivated, highly organized and quality orientated
