Job Title: Early Infant Interventionist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Early Infant Interventionist to join our team at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis. As an Early Infant Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality treatment for children and families in our communities.

Job Summary

The Early Infant Interventionist will provide one-to-one intensive intervention based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in the home or community settings to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other developmental delays. The successful candidate will assist children in developing the skills necessary to be integrated into school and other community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct intervention with child/family
  • Keep accurate client records
  • Maintain accurate administrative records
  • Drive between sites
  • Attend/Participate in Training
  • Attend/Participate Group Supervision
  • Passion and enthusiasm for helping children, including ability to be silly and have fun playing
  • Previous experience working with children preferred (including babysitting or with family members)
  • Dedication and commitment to working daily with our clients at school or home
  • Reliable transportation & proof of auto insurance
  • Prefer (but do not require) bachelor's degree in psychology, child development, or a related field
  • Willingness to drive to clients' homes and schools throughout San Diego county
  • Must pass TB test
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior job-related experience with Applied Behavior Analysis working with children with autism or other developmentally delaying disorders (preferred)

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of situations and to remain calm under stress
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms; push and pull, and talk, hear and smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee in this position may encounter prolonged sitting and/or standing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
