Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Technician to join our team at Buddy's Home Furnishings. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of merchandise to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain customer relationships through exceptional customer service
  • Effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers
  • Install and remove furniture, appliances, and home electronics
  • Comply with all company vehicle safety standards and documentation
  • Provide inside and outside service calls to customers
  • Protect company assets, including inventory, equipment, and vehicles
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store management

Requirements

  • Intermediate math skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to drive during day and night and meet all safety requirements
  • Ability to explain terms of rental/lease agreement to customers
  • Ability to fill out receipt books and make journal entries
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Proficient in product features and benefits
  • Proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements
  • Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise
  • Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required
  • Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics
  • Prolonged driving and standing
  • Ability to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
