Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various medical procedures, including venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs, as directed.
  • Administer immunizations and injections, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide patient education and instructions regarding their care.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical supplies and equipment, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Assist healthcare providers during minor surgeries and physical examinations.
  • Manage scheduling for tests and treatments efficiently.
  • Screen telephone inquiries and relay messages appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient files and records, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Follow all standard precautions and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the facility.
  • Monitor and order medical supplies as needed.
  • Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Practical Nursing certificate required for LPN candidates.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical office terminology and procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
  • Medical Assistant Certification or LPN/GPN required; must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
