This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction using innovative technologies to support student learning and success.

• Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid, or web-enhanced modalities as assigned.
• Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required.
• Develop and submit course syllabi or update departmental syllabi at least two weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of contract execution.
• Regularly check VSCC email and departmental mailbox, responding to messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
• Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
• Complete required College trainings and reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and surveys, by the required deadlines.
• Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if unable to teach a class.
• Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
• Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.

• Baccalaureate degree or higher in English, Reading, Elementary Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Collegiate-level teaching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

$675 - $800 per credit hour
