Job Title: Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Superior Products Distributors Inc is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on our fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to schedule repairs and maintenance to minimize impact on our delivery and service schedules.
  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of company vehicles, including inspections and repairs.
  • Collaborate with mechanics at other Superior locations to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Review and improve our parts and supplies purchasing process to ensure we are getting the best value.
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate prices and improve our overall cost of parts and supplies.
  • Maximize our oil change process and implement new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Follow the Superior Incident reporting process and assist in obtaining insurance repair and replacement quotes and estimates as needed.
  • Follow the current process for all vehicle repairs and look for ways to improve efficiencies in managing the paperwork related to vehicle repair and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience as a truck mechanic required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
