Central Sterilization Technician

Job Summary:

As a Central Sterile Processing Tech at Baptist Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining and preparing medical instruments and equipment for use in our clinical settings. This position requires a strong understanding of decontamination processes, sterilization techniques, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
• Prepare and package instruments for sterilization, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Maintain accurate records of instrument inventory and sterilization processes.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
• Certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certification from IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
