Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our mental health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for adult and child members.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs, including psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention services.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatric professionals, and allied health teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and adherence to prescribed regimens.
  • Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
  • Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations.
  • Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, and maintain confidential records.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families.
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
