Position Overview

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will deliver essential clinical assistance to our healthcare providers.


Reporting Structure:
Directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for clinical matters and the Personnel Manager for human resource issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and escort patients for their appointments.
  • Monitor and record vital signs.
  • Document patient complaints and concerns.
  • Update and maintain health records.
  • Execute standing orders, including specimen collection.
  • Distribute educational resources to patients.
  • Implement provider directives.
  • Conduct pre-visit preparations in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures as required.
  • Perform tasks within the LPN's scope of practice and adhere to established protocols.
  • Inform patients of their results following practice guidelines.
  • Accurately document all clinical information in patient records promptly.
  • Restock examination rooms as necessary and ensure cleanliness for patient use.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, including reading and recording test outcomes.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for office laboratories, ensuring compliance with CLIA standards and proficiency testing as directed.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
Qualifications:
  • Current New York State LPN license.
  • CPR certification.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills over the phone.
