As a Legal Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting the business operations of TRAKAmerica. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, including contract drafting and review, negotiation, and dispute resolution. You will also assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and performance-based bonus structure. You will work closely with our business leaders to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law and negotiation principles, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Prior experience working in the debt collection industry for a law firm, collection agency, debt buyer, creditor or legal network supplier is a plus.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Reviewing and analyzing existing contracts for potential risk issues and compliance to existing laws or terms
  • Negotiating contracts with counterparties
  • Providing legal counsel on contract matters
  • Assisting in resolution of any contractual disputes
