Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in helping us provide high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to perform specialized examinations of the breast to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. You will operate advanced equipment and work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare patients for and assist radiologists in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Produce high-quality images for radiologists to evaluate and complete accurate documentation.
  • Obtain and record pertinent patient information and disseminate subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.
  • Elevate questions, problems, and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction or subject matter expertise.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience as a Mammography Technologist is preferred.
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) and Mammography Technologist certification is required in California.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Mammography (ARRT-M) certification is required in Oregon and preferred in California and Hawaii.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Facility-specific licenses and certifications may be required.
