Job Title: Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Design Engineer to join our team at Raymond West. As a key member of our Systems team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex automation solutions that meet and exceed the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop storage and automation systems, including conveyors, sortation, and automated storage systems.
  • Work closely with the Sales team and other Storage and Automation staff to oversee design and estimating, as well as engineering support of our project management team.
  • Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support the sales process.
  • Collaborate with vendors and RW Sales to help develop estimates when needed.
  • Substantial experience with planning, management, and execution of complex material handling systems.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Must have experience with AutoCAD.
  • Engineering background with over 5 years' experience in application, design, and installation of material handling equipment, mechanical, structural systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position is Sedentary and desk bound.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $120,000, medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, life insurance, personal time off, holiday pay, and a great team to work with.
