Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at UC San Diego Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and radioactive pharmaceuticals in accordance with established Nuclear Medicine guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radionuclide imaging of organs, organ systems, compartments, and physiologic functions
  • Assay body fluids, tissues, and radio bioassays
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures using established Nuclear Medicine protocols
  • Follow protocols specified by the Radiologist
  • Enter complex data into computer systems
  • Review, verify, and evaluate images to ensure technical quality and image quality
Requirements
  • Recent graduate of a school of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program
  • California Radiology Technologist of Nuclear Medicine (CRT-N) certification
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by NMTCB and/or ARRT (R.T(N)(ARRT)
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
  • Recent experience in a similar role and setting or new graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine technology program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months of hospital experience
  • Understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS
  • Registered Technologist for Nuclear Medicine Technology issued by ARRT (R.T(N)(ARRT)
