We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our team at Avcon. As a key member of our transportation group, you will be responsible for managing full scope of work from proposal preparation through construction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all technical aspects of transportation/roadway projects, including reviewing documents for quality control and quality assurance.
- Coordinate engineers and sub-consultants to ensure project completion.
- Interact directly with clients during the pursuit phase, design phase, and construction phase.
- Represent Avcon at industry forums and events.
- Responsible for design and management of transportation/roadway engineering projects.
- Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project assignments.
- Develop proposals, including bid documents, project reports, studies, and other documentation.
- Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments/projects.
- Identify projects for the transportation group to pursue.
- Lead marketing and business development pursuits.
- Attend industry forums.
- Interact and collaborate with clients, officials, contractors, sub-consultants, and other project team members.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 12+ years' experience.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or Bentley.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Work usually takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. Site visits may occasionally take place in an outdoor environment.
Physical RequirementsThe employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
