Job Title: Truck Driver/Side Dump Operator

At Ames Construction, we're seeking experienced truck drivers to join our team in West Valley City, Utah. As a Truck Driver/Side Dump Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick up goods and materials from various sites
  • Verify load for accuracy, deliver as instructed, and unload cargo
  • Understand and follow navigation systems
  • Provide safe driving operations on roadways in the general public and jobsite areas
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a truck driver
  • Hold a current Class A CDL and medical card
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and daily inspections
  • Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain clear communication with staff and project team members
Working Conditions:
  • Travel: This project is located in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Schedule: Work assignment will be typical weekdays, occasional weekends, and the possibility for night shift operations
  • Construction Site Environment: Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects. Exposed to high noise levels and rough terrain.
