Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Phoebe Berks Retirement Community in Wernersville, PA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of delicious and healthy meals, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while ensuring compliance with nutritional and food safety standards.
- Culinary Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Food Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, storage, and inventory of food and kitchen supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to residents, families, and staff, responding to feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a senior culinary role.
- Culinary Skills: Proven expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, with a focus on healthy and delicious cuisine.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of kitchen staff.
- Food Safety and Quality: Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in the kitchen.
- Competitive Salary: $18.00 - $22.00+ per hour, depending on experience.
