Job Title: Sr Director, Finance

Job Summary:

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Director of Finance to join our team in Scranton, PA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and directing multiple financial functions, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee multiple financial functions, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit, and collections.
  • Establish and maintain accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
  • Liaise with senior leadership on matters of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Communicate with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on matters of internal controls and/or budget approval and ROI for specific projects.
  • Prepare for audits and ensure that financial reporting is completed properly, and that all documentation follows applicable regulations.
  • Lead and direct the work of other managers and have responsibility for personnel actions, including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 10-12 years of experience in a relevant function.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to possess and apply a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, and procedures of specialization.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, administrative data control, scheduling, and team interface.
  • Strong written, digital, and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

The Scranton Army Ammunition Plant is a government-contracted facility, and all potential employees must be able to pass Federal background requirements.
