The successful candidate will provide direct support to patients in their homes, assisting them with physical, mental, emotional, or social limitations to improve their quality of life and independence. This includes implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and operating therapeutic equipment in a safe and clinically appropriate manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress, including treatment response and changes noted
- Operate therapeutic equipment in a safe and clinically appropriate manner
- Assess home environments and recommend modifications as needed
- Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with activities of daily living
- Educate caregivers and family members on patient care
- Maintain professional knowledge to provide evidence-based standards of practice
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) where services are rendered
- Interest in working with all abilities, including the IDD population
- Valid and current driver's license and auto insurance
- Willingness to obtain or possess current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Salary: $27 to $33 per hour depending on experience
