Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Baker to join our team at Nothing Bundt Cakes. As an Assistant Baker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality cakes are consistently created for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Baker in following proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieving productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
  • Prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, place cake pans into a hot oven, and monitor the baking process.
  • Assist with daily baking and production flow, and process baked cakes according to proper packaging, labeling, and storage standards.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock the workstation, and assist the Baker in ensuring all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
Requirements
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.
  • Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
