Job Overview

Position Summary:

As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our facility by managing the maintenance processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively oversee maintenance activities to sustain plant productivity.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks on stationary machinery.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of parts.
  • Ensure the upkeep of facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on:
    • Sorting lines, conveyors, and various machines.
    • Conduct diagnostics and minor repairs on industrial equipment, including mobile machinery, forklifts, front-end loaders, and trailers.
  • Execute troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks for various plant machinery, such as Eddy Current Separators and Trommels.
  • Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLCs, valves, and motors.
  • Coordinate with key operations to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly and schedule maintenance as necessary.
  • Document and maintain all maintenance records and daily reports.
  • Supervise and review the work of maintenance personnel, providing on-the-job training and resolving common work challenges.
  • Engage in additional responsibilities, including parts ordering, welding, fabricating, and performing minor electrical repairs.
  • Carry out other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Safety Protocols:

Adhere to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines while working in the facility and consistently follow company safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of various units of measure.
  • Familiarity with yard vehicles, including forklifts and loaders, is advantageous.
  • Must be capable of lifting weights ranging from 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in welding (stick) and fabrication is essential.
