We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Ascension Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of your license.
- Contribute to the assessment of patients and ensure their well-being.
- Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
- Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Practical/Vocational Nurse credential from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- Some experience as a medical assistant is strongly preferred.
