We are seeking a skilled Millwright Helper to join our team at Industrial Trade Services. As a Millwright Helper, you will assist experienced Millwrights in performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to determine work procedures.
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery using hand tools and power tools.
- Move and position equipment using hoists, dollies, and other equipment.
- Assemble and install equipment, including shaffing, conveyors, and tram rails.
- Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials.
- Align machines and equipment using precision instruments and tools.
- Perform lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, and repair of tools, machines, and equipment.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
- Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
- Plan work and select proper tools.
- Compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
- Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Perform a variety of duties, which may change often.
- Operate machinery.
- Work at heights without fear.

The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
QualificationsMay require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
