Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a skilled Medical Polysomnography Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sleep Disorder Center, you will be responsible for performing standard and complex polysomnographic recordings, monitoring physiological phenomena, and administering oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physiologic calibrations and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Choose montages best suited for patients based on protocol, policy, and procedure
  • Correctly document all therapy given according to Department policy
  • Assist in orientation of new staff members and provide in-service to physicians, nurses, and clinical associates as required

Requirements:

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
  • Additional experience as an EEG Technician or Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • BLS Certification required
  • One to three years previous experience in hospital-based or freestanding Sleep Center
  • Scoring experience required, knowledge of AASM Standards
