About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Woodland Job Corps Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to our students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide preventative and emergency health services to students
  • Conduct wellness education and promote healthy habits among students
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA laws and maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Supervise and manage the Wellness Department and its staff
  • Establish and maintain Memorandums of Understanding with local hospitals and wellness-related community resources
  • Compile and submit required reports and plans per DOL/Corporate policy
  • Ensure adequate staff coverage to meet the needs of the diverse student population
  • Manage the wellness budget and identify cost-saving measures
  • Act as the Center liaison with local agencies, coordinating health services and addressing health-related issues
  • Evaluate student health issues and concerns, making appropriate referrals
  • Maintain and revise current health care guidelines to ensure quality and effective wellness services
  • Coordinate and oversee chronic condition case management programs
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines for medication administration and medical record maintenance
  • Manage the Center's medical separation process, providing necessary medical services and referrals for students
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state where the center is located
  • Three years of healthcare experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity
