Job Title: Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric

Join the team at Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) as a Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric will be a vital member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for working with individuals with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide nursing care to individuals with serious mental illness
  • Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and modify nursing care plans as needed
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
  • Implement infection control protocols and procedures
  • Observe and record individuals' symptoms and care, reporting responses to medications or changes in health
Requirements:
  • Licensure and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State
  • One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
