Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive community.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment that fosters open communication, creativity, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development, from birth to age six; OR
  • 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development, from birth to age 6; OR
  • Completion of credential programs approved by the Department in accordance with Appendix G of this Part (CDA).
