Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of adult male ex-offenders within a correctional residential setting and in the community. The successful candidate will maintain accountability of ex-offenders at all times, ensuring adherence to all life safety, security, and sanitation requirements. This role also involves performing general office duties and may require occasional overtime.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and monitor ex-offenders in the facility and community, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  2. Enforce all house rules and regulations, maintaining a secure and orderly environment.
  3. Conduct regular counts and surveillance checks to ensure ex-offenders are accounted for.
  4. Prepare and submit reports, including disciplinary and incident reports, as required.
  5. Collaborate with other staff members, probation officers, and external agencies to ensure effective supervision and support.
  6. Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior work experience in corrections or related fields preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and insured automobile preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular and predictable attendance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to de-escalate crisis situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a correctional residential setting, with regular exposure to ex-offenders and potentially challenging situations. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular and predictable attendance.
