This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of adult male ex-offenders within a correctional residential setting and in the community. The successful candidate will maintain accountability of ex-offenders at all times, ensuring adherence to all life safety, security, and sanitation requirements. This role also involves performing general office duties and may require occasional overtime.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor ex-offenders in the facility and community, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Enforce all house rules and regulations, maintaining a secure and orderly environment.
- Conduct regular counts and surveillance checks to ensure ex-offenders are accounted for.
- Prepare and submit reports, including disciplinary and incident reports, as required.
- Collaborate with other staff members, probation officers, and external agencies to ensure effective supervision and support.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior work experience in corrections or related fields preferred.
- Valid driver's license and insured automobile preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular and predictable attendance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to de-escalate crisis situations.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
This position requires the ability to work in a correctional residential setting, with regular exposure to ex-offenders and potentially challenging situations. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular and predictable attendance.
