As an MRI & CT Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver scanning services adhering to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
(90%) Patient Imaging Services
- Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring the correct identification and procedure.
- Effectively communicate and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear explanations and proper positioning.
- Perform both routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality results while supporting patients throughout the process.
- Adjust imaging parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Uphold ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
- Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) Departmental Support
- Assist in updating imaging protocols and managing software enhancements.
- Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, requesting additional supplies as needed.
- Support the training of new staff members, offering guidance and technical expertise.
