Shift Timings: 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM [34.5 hrs/week but the facility may cancel 1 shift/2-week period due to low census]
Description:
This entry-level role operates under the immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor, focusing on achieving the essential competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The primary goal is to assist medical staff in diagnosing, caring for, treating, and monitoring various conditions, defects, and diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize foundational knowledge, skills, and available resources to provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in various settings, including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote clinics.
- Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established practice guidelines.
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Conduct operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance as per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and enhance care and treatment practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with a focus on a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI (candidates within 6 weeks of graduation from an approved program may be considered for employment).
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Must meet eligibility requirements for CT Certification.
- ARRT and NE Radiographers License.
- BLS certification must be current upon hire.
