About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Home Supervisor to join our team at Koinonia Homes. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that quality, comprehensive, and person-centered services are provided to individuals in our homes. This will involve working closely with direct support professionals, home managers, and nursing staff to maintain a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment for all individuals served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and evaluate direct support professionals in assigned homes to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Organize work and efforts of staff to create a pleasant, safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment for individuals.
  • Recommend adjustments and changes to individual service plans (ISPs) as needed to ensure that each person's unique needs are met.
  • Lead and complete quarterly evaluation processes with input from home managers and nursing staff.
  • Participate in recruiting, orientation, and training of direct support professionals.
Financial Oversight
  • Ensure proper use and accounting of individuals' resources and finances.
  • Use agency resources responsibly and ethically.
  • Account for all funds, receipts, and documents, including payroll and mileage submissions.
Compliance and Personal Development
  • Engage in self-development, continuous learning, and professional expertise to improve supervision, teamwork, and programmatic oversight.
  • Maintain effective communication with managers, subordinates, and others, including timely checking of voicemail and email.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, alerting home managers immediately of any concerns regarding associates and individuals served.
Customer Service
  • Recognize individual persons' needs and expectations.
  • Interact with peers, colleagues, and customers with an understanding that service is our reason for existence.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, responding positively to changes and showing flexibility in the work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in IDD or a closely related field.
  • PATHS CIP and CAP certification preferred; must become certified within one year if not already certified.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for lengthy periods.
  • A valid Ohio driver's license with vehicle liability insurance.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on relevant experience and qualifications. As a valued member of our team, you can expect a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
