We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WIC Supervising Nutritionist to join our team at Camino Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to our WIC program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutrition and breastfeeding services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nutrition education and guidance to clients, identifying their individual needs and developing personalized education plans.
- Supervise and train paraprofessional staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent client services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition and breastfeeding promotion activities, quality assurance, referral, and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with the WIC Director to ensure the effective management of the WIC program, including daily operations, client services, and staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with Camino Health Center and State WIC Branch policies, as well as adherence to core values of Service, Dignity, Justice, and Excellence.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or other Health Science.
- Experience in nutrition education and interventions, preferably in a WIC or community/public health setting.
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Nutrition, current registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and experience working for WIC or another community/public health program.
