Position Overview: RN Charge Cardiac Full Time Days
This role is responsible for overseeing the functions and activities of a designated department. The RN Charge Nurse coordinates the scheduling and operational efforts of the nursing staff within the unit. Acting as a key liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, this position ensures compliance with regulatory standards and fosters effective communication among all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate departmental functions and activities.
- Manage scheduling and staffing for the unit's nursing team.
- Serve as a liaison to various stakeholders, including pre-hospital providers and hospital administration.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff.
Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Capacity to implement changes effectively and manage departmental budgets. Ability to make independent decisions in high-pressure situations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee other members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum Experience: Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience, with specific requirements for Level II and Level III NICU experience.
Preferred Experience: Management experience with at least two years in a supervisory role. Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
Required Certifications: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona. CPR and ACLS certifications as applicable to the department.
Training Requirements: Specific training requirements based on departmental needs.
