About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner to join our Claims Center team. As a key member of our Agile team, you will be responsible for prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with our strategic roadmap, and collaborating with customers and stakeholders to determine requirements and new features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder and customer relationships to elicit feedback and opinions on product features and components.
  • Assess new features and product value streams against customer needs and strategic roadmap to identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
  • Attend sprint planning and demo meetings to provide feedback on sprint achievement and collaborate with the scrum team.
  • Collaborate with customers and end-users to obtain information on expected product features and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement action plans for building and sustaining demand for the product.
  • Ensure implemented product features add value to end-users and meet strategic expectations.
  • Highlight product features in a clear and understandable manner to the development team.
  • Manage and develop the product backlog and user stories backlog for implementation.
  • Conduct backlog grooming meetings with a team of product owners.
  • Measure product performance and value delivered to clients to make adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of product development and plan for product release to meet program or project deadlines.
  • Provide reports to update management and stakeholders on product development operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of progressive insurance experience within the Claims operations or technology divisions of a large P&C Insurance company.
  • Previous experience working as a Product Owner for Agile teams (preferred).
  • Prior experience implementing or working with Guidewire Claims system or other insurance technology tools.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering department-wide technology and transformation programs and implementations.
  • 5+ years of product, analysis, technology, and design experience.
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence (preferred).
